- M.Mežaks / A.Ronis retired in special stage 1. due to technical reasons.

- The crew number 16 - Toms Tamovičs / Dāvis Kalniņš - will not start because of homologation time of seatbelts has ended.

- The Results from rally will be available here and in WAP page only after each special stage will be completed.

- In rally will not take part such crews: nr.20 Tomas Toldsepp / ..., nr.40. Ivars Pucens / Aldis Strazdiņš, nr.14. Mihkel Niinemae / Eero Uustalu.
- Crew nr.1 Matīss Mežaks / Arnis Ronis will start with front wheel drive car Ford Fiesta. They will have number 1 on the car, but will start somewhere in second tenth of the list. Which place it will be we will get know tomorrow after technical commision.
- All the time there goes snow and the track is cleaned all the time.

- Crew nr.59 Kaspars Šimkus / Armands Šimkus will not take part as they have sold their rally car.

- Start list has changed! As a co-driver to Roberts Kondrats will participiate Andris Šimkus, crew nr.30!
- With nr.25 in this rally will start Raimonds Kisiels / Agris Pētersons.

- At 13:00 o'clock here in Gulbene have been arrived most of the rally crews. Still to come 14 crews.

all special stages - 1.50 LVL

Tickets will be available on special stages and in gas stations "Grodi" and "Gulbenes degviela" and in rally centre of course.

- Crew Renārs Francis / Mārtiņš Meldrājs (nr.25, group A8) has canceled their entry because of technical reasons.

- The registration has ended and the count of competitors has reached a value of 75. Start list has been prepared.

- Organizer of the rally "Sarma 2003" has warned following border-crossing points that the rally "Sarma 2003" will take place at Gulbene, Latvia on February 4 - 8 and thereof is a possibility that crews entered for this rally will cross Latvia's border:

Latvia-Estonia - border crossing points "Ainaži - Ikla", "Valka - Valga";
Latvia-Russia - border crossing points "Grebņeva - Ubiļinka", "Terehova - Buročki", "Vientuļi - Ludonka";
Latvia-Byelrussia - border crossing points "Silene - Urbani", "Pātarnieki - Grigušķina",
Latvia-Lithuania - border crossing points "Grenctāle - Soločai", "Meitene - Kalvai".
