    Speed Festival “Rally Kurzeme 2012” Awarding Ceremony at the New Portside

    This week in the course of four days Liepāja and its surroundings will be the venue of the Speed Festival “Rally Kurzeme 2012” which will include the Latvian Championship Stage in Rally, as well as the RallySprint and Carting competitions and a row of other motor sports events.

After tough and intense competition on Saturday, 25 August, at 19:30 at the New Portside there will be the Rally, RallySprint and Carting Awarding ceremony. During the night one will also find out which is the happy crew the rally car of which will be washed by “hot” girls. After the Awarding ceremony 21:00 the floor will be given to DJ AI-VA who will get the public ready for the concert of the band “Gain Fast” which will start at 22:00.

At the New Portside on 24 and 25 August at the start/finish area of the Speed Festival “Rally Kurzeme 2012” there will be a possibility to take up extreme challenges and test one’s courage by trying haircut changes, enjoying the free fall in a jump from a tower or getting a new tattoo. Both days and nights the cocktail bar “Red Sun Buffet” will offer bracing, refreshing and inspiring cocktails.

After the Awarding a special Speed Festival program will be offered by the Liepāja city clubs and bars. Starting from 20:00 Tomass Kleins, Fēlikss Ķiģelis with the band, “The Afternoon” and a Liepāja-based band “Stendera ielas zēni” will take care of a musical night.

The Speed Festival “Rally Kurzeme 2012will take place also on Sunday, 26 August. Sunday is expected to be the fastest day of the festival, as the start will be given to the Latvian Championship Stage in DragRace, whereas on the Liepāja Dairy Plant track the Freko Rally SuperSprint participants will compete.

E trance cards to the Speed Festival “Rally Kurzeme 2012” are available at ”BezRindas.lv” and ticket offices of “Biļešuserviss.lv” Entrance to all the Speed Festival competitions – LVL 7, to separate speed stages or competitions – 3 lats.
